Semen of Cows, Buffalo & Pigs is procured from Semen Bank Nabha, Ropar from different states of India & from foreign countries. As per the breeding policy of Govt. of Punjab this semen is distributed to the different districts of Punjab. Under Semen exchange programme semen of buffalo (Murraha breed) is exchanged with HLDB, Hissar (Haryana). Semen of different buff bulls under progeny testing scheme is stored here in different sets. Semen is sold to different states of India & Advanced Dairy Farmers of Punjab & of other states at prescribed rates of Punjab Govt.
